International swoop on drug traffickers nets three in Dubai: "The Dubai Police on Monday announced the arrest of three alleged drug traffickers, including the leader of an international drug gang whose members were nabbed in South Africa, the UK and the Netherlands.
A South African and two Asians were arrested from the emirate after almost a year of coordination with several countries, including where the other arrests took place, Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, said at a press conference here. The coordination started after the Dubai Police received information that an international gang of drug traffickers was operating in the UAE too, besides South Africa, the UK and the Netherlands."
